This is a little reminder to my readers that there are many wonderful ways to eat pesto! This summer I tried pesto made with both Thai and purple basil, and it was just as delicious! Just like last year, I made some extra to enjoy in winter!

Basil season is almost over, so make now all the basil pesto you will want. Use it in different ways or freeze some for the rest of the year.
If you don’t have access to fresh basil, don’t fret, just be creative. There are so many different pestos you can make – try spinach, cilantro or arugula in place of basil and experiment with different kids of nuts! You will be surprised how tasty they turn out. Pesto in general is a great way to eat your herbs, nuts, and garlic.
